About This Project

I started this project with a conviction that has only grown stronger over the years: every homebuyer deserves to understand the lifelines running into their property. For too long, water, gas and sewer connections have been treated as afterthoughts—boxes to tick on a checklist. But these networks determine whether a home is safe, efficient and truly liveable. This website is my attempt to change that conversation.

My professional roots lie in industrial pipeline integrity. For years, I designed monitoring systems that prevented leaks and kept supply chains running across oil and gas installations. That work taught me that infrastructure is never just about pipes and valves. It’s about trust: trust that the pressure will hold, the flow will remain clean, and the system will perform under stress. When I began collaborating on utility planning for large residential townships, I saw the same principles apply—only now the end user wasn’t an operator in a control room, but a family unlocking their front door for the first time.

This shift wasn’t a change of direction. It was a natural progression. The same engineering mindset that ensures a crude oil pipeline doesn’t fail can show a property investor whether the gas line in their new apartment meets BIS standards. The same logic that governs smart zoning in a water distribution grid can help a first-time buyer ask the right questions about supply hours and backup systems. I simply moved the lens from industrial yards to the communities where people live, eat and raise children.

What you’ll find here is a resource built on that crossover. The articles and guides don’t assume you speak fluent engineering. They translate technical reality into everyday language—without diluting the facts. You’ll learn how sewer gradients affect your plot, why water meter placement matters, what a proper gas pipeline testing certificate looks like, and how to spot compliance issues before you sign a sale agreement. These aren’t abstract concerns; they’re things I’ve seen go wrong, fixed, and then explained to residents who deserved better.

I don’t write for search engines. I write for people standing in a bare-walled flat, wondering if the water will actually come at 6 a.m. or if the “100% power backup” promise extends to the sewage pumps. Every page is informed by real fieldwork, conversations with municipal engineers, and countless hours spent tracing pipes through dusty master plans.

The project has a simple purpose:

  • Demystify residential utility infrastructure for Indian homebuyers and investors.
  • Equip you with the right technical questions—and the context to understand the answers.
  • Share practical insights that come from more than fifteen years of hands-on experience.

Behind the content is my name—Rajesh Iyer—and a career that has spanned industrial monitoring, township utility design, and now public-facing education. I’ve built sensor networks that protected delicate ecosystems and planned sewage systems for fifty-acre developments. Both taught me the same lesson: hidden things matter most. This website exists so that lesson reaches the people who need it.

If you’re evaluating a property, double-checking a builder’s promises, or simply curious about how your home connects to the world outside, I hope you’ll find something useful here. I’m still learning, and this project grows with every reader question and every new development I walk through. You’re invited to be part of that.
